Be Motivated Series: Health/Wellness Encouragement and Tips by LaShawn Sithole

Welcome back to the Be Motivated Series. Today’s emphasis is on health and wellness, for without these none of this self improvement material can be fully implemented. I read once that our bodies are like the cars we drive while we are on earth. Routine maintenance is recommended for your car, your body and your spirit.

We have to exercise and eat the right things which is so much easier said than done-at first anyway. Getting started is hard but the pay off is priceless.

Enjoy this excerpt from 101 Ways to find God’s Purpose for Your Life, by Natalie Gillespie:

Exercise provides many benefits to your life, and keeping in shape is part of God’s Purpose for you. Exercise keeps you body healthy and strong, your mind alert, and your emotions positive, releasing natural chemicals that stimulate good feelings.

Sedentary bodies lead to minds that are unfocused, emotions that are out of control, and a spirit that wrestles with resting in Him. Exercise helps develop a positive self-image.

God expects His followers to develop discipline – mentally, emotionally, spiritually, and physically – in order to unveil His Best Work in them.

Remember this: “Bodily exercise is all right, but spiritual exercise is much more important and is a tonic for all you do. So exercise yourself spiritually and practice being a better Christian, because that will help you not only now in this life, but in the next life too.”
(1 Timothy 4:8, Children’s Living Bible)
