Be Motivated Series: Speaking in Public by LaShawn Sithole

Welcome Back to the Be Motivated Series! Today’s emphasis is on speaking in public, or as many prefer to say...public speaking.

When preparing to speak remember and focus on the two main components of a speech. They are content and style.

Content is what you’re saying and style refers to how you deliver your information.

Style also includes non verbal gestures, facial expressions, tone, and so much more. My style of going from serious to funny without notice shows up in writing and regular conversation.

Today’s Quotes for Consideration:

The best way to sound like you know what you're talking about is to know what you're talking about.
~Author Unknown

Be sincere; be brief; be seated.
~Franklin D. Roosevelt, on speech making

There are always three speeches, for every one you actually gave.  The one you practiced, the one you gave, and the one you wish you gave.
~Dale Carnegie
